I recently had a problem with the BT600 backhoe on my BX23. The dipperstick relief valve would lift and not reset until I shocked the hydraulic system. I bit the bullet and removed the relief valve, carefully marked all pieces with their individual adjustments and disassembled the valve. I cleaned every piece very well with hydraulic fluid and reassembled - voila, problem solved. There was apparently a microscopic piece of something interferring with the resetting of the valve. Saved $120 on a new valve. Just be extra careful to retain the factory adjustment of the valve when reassembling.

You did well to tackle that chore and have success. We often have to pick up the pieces and assemble them after people have attempted that job. It still might not hurt to have it flow rated if you get near the equipment or dealer. Good Luck! ....
